Hi! My name is Josephine and I am the sole priporter of VOW Candles. VOW is an acronym for Verse OF the Week! This is a motivational brand that is striving to renew and refresh the word of God on a weekly basis (if/when purchased weekly). I was born and raised in West Africa, Liberia. I was 1 of 9 children living in the interior (countryside). Although we were brought up in poverty, we had everything. Knowing God granted us access to untouchable and unexplainable joy. Even in the midst of a war, our faith remained intact and grew stronger by the hour. Knowing Christ was fulfilling, even on an empty stomach. This is all due to the unwavering Christian foundation set and demonstrated by my lovely parents. When one door closes God opens another. Few years ago, I found myself consumed by a dark narrow well as I endlessly strived to find a balance between being a full time mother of 3 children (the youngest being 3 months old at the time), a wife and also an overnight part time worker. During the pandemic I inevitably needed to let go of my work, as virtual learning was in effect for all school agers. A sense of emptiness filled me around that period. I knew I needed more Jesus in my life. I yearned for His words to flow effortlessly from my mouth as I experienced multiple emotions in a single day. It was at that moment VOW Candles was birthed.
